Spanish Royal Family

Members:

King Felipe's proclamation took place on June 19, 2014. Since then he became King and his wife, Letizia, became Queen. They have two daughters, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia.

Before 2014, the King of Spain was King Juan Carlos with his wife, Queen Sofia. Due to several factors (his daughter, Infanta Cristina's scandal, the Botswana scandal and the decrease of support to the monarchy in Spain), King Juan Carlos abdicated in favor of his son, by then Prince Felipe.
